Yeah cinemas are probably gonna be once again last thing to open if industry don't pressure in.
Cinemas gonna remain dead this year too I don't see us coming out of this pandemic anytime soon
Cinemas wont open before the end of the year. Could even be early 2022. We have the prospects of a third wave coming too.
Possible but I think you guys being a lot pessimistic there. Bollywood may keep sleeping but I totally expect South box office to be 100% back by 3rd quarter. There wasn't vaccine in winter, they still did well, with vaccine performance will be a lot better.
Obviously South was almost back to normal with Master doing great business there is no doubt that South will be back once cases slow down and cinemas open in whatever capacity the same can't be said about Bollywood North cinema is dead
This is a really sad image. Even sadder will be the one with box office admissions, as gross are being helped by fact that inflation in India has been 5x over 17 years in ₹ and around 3.2x in $, while China inflation in ¥ is around 1.75x, in $ being 2x.
Cinemas being allowed to reopen in Maharashtra apparently. I mean not all or anything big but a better start than last year fiasco, by the way COVID is going down, we actually may have opening by August.
Telangana cinemas reopening from 1st July with 50%.
Punjab cinemas allowed to open from today with 50% occupancy. But Sunday curfew could be a problem.
Problem to whom and why there are no new films in theaters anyways
There are 3 big Hollywood films (F9, Black Widow and Conjuring 3 (I know it released online but still)) that will be released and Akki film most likely.
